Swedish massage
Swedish massage therapy is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage. As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, and improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints). Massage modalities like deep tissue reduce stress hormone levels and heart rate while boosting mood and relaxation by triggering the release of oxytocin and serotonin.

Therapeutic massage
More typical "Spa Massage" integrated with expert attention to problem areas or “trigger points.” Each session is customized to your needs with a combination of deep massage and trigger point massage to target the areas that need addressed.
Trigger point massage therapy is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. In this type of massage for trigger point therapy, the recipient actively participates through deep breathing as well as identifying the exact location and intensity of the discomfort.
This massage is perfect if your neck hurts, but you want a more relaxing experience combined with attention to your problem areas.

tmj massage
Massage therapy may offer some relief for people with temporomandibular joint disorder (a condition commonly referred to as TMD syndrome or TMJ). Marked by pain and stiffness in the jaw, face, and neck, TMJ affects the temporomandibular joint, which connects your jaw to the side of your skull. By using massage on the muscles surrounding the temporomandibular joint, TMJ patients may be able to lessen pain and ease TMJ symptoms. Although a therapist works on the facial muscles in an effort to alleviate tension in TMJ trigger points, most therapists also incorporate intraoral techniques: massages performed within the mouth itself, in order to adequately reach all of the muscles and areas that factor into TMJ pain and dysfunction.
The suggested length for TMJ massage if wanting full body massage is 90 minutes.
40 minute TMJ massage only – $80
60 minute TMJ with upper body -$130
90 minute Swedish Massage with TMJ – $160
90 minute Deep Tissue Massage with TMJ – $170
